Our the lot behind our backyard is being turned into a dentist office so there is a lot of dirt work going on lately. Merrick and I have spent many hours watching the "diggers" moving dirt and have been eatin lunch on the picnic table in order to watch the diggers! He's a little outdoors boy!
Thursday Lincoln and I had tickets to see Phil Vassar and Lady Antebellum at the Jones County Fair with some friends. It was a GREAT concert!!!! Good thing our concert was on Thursday cause the storms Friday canceled that concert and caused MAJOR flooding in Dyserville and Monticello canceling the rest of the fair!
Friday we spent as a family catching up on some much needed time together! Enjoy the video I got of Merrick and Lincoln hanging out!
Saturday night another one of Lincoln's roommates from College got married. We decided to have my mom stay with Merrick (THANKS MOM!) so we could have a date night--2 in one week! ;) It was a good time with friends and great to catch up the two of us! Merrick's potty progress has been coming right along. We are on potty chart #2! For every 25 stickers he gets to go to the store and pick out a "prize" but after every successful trip to the potty he gets 3 jelly beans! Yes even if it is before breakfast!!! So far he's gotten 3 books (this is what he picks out when we go to the store!--he LOVES to read!), a sand toy, and a happy meal!!! There have been many days where his diaper is dry all day while awake! Oh my lil boy is growing so fast! (TEAR!) I didnt take a picture of the potty chart #2 after one week but he's filling those spaces right up w/ stickers! ;)To end this post I just would like to take time to ask for prayer requests for Lincoln's cousin Cadi and her family. Cadi, Her husband Scott and 4 mo old son Gabe's house was hit by the tornado that went through Indianola. The damage is defistating but we are very thankful they are all safe. Here is the link to their story if you'd like to see pictures! Keep them in your prayers as they have a long road ahead of them but most importantly thanking God for their safety!
