Hello all! Not much to report on our end. We've been busy doing the usual...playdates, playing at the park, going to the splash pad, playing outside...Playing is what we do best!!! Merrick has taken to watching Lincoln shave and wants to do everything we do so here are the pictures of Merrick attempting to shave like Daddy!!!

Tuesday evening we went to Amy and Chris's house (Lynston's brother in law and sister in law) to eat cake and ice cream for Lynston's 25th birthday. Merrick loved Grandma Dru's Iowa Chocolate cake. He at the WHOLE piece. This is some of the best cake I've ever had and then I found out it has real lard in it--no wonder its AMAZING! :) Saturday night was Merrick's 1st experience at a wedding. One of Lincoln's roommates from college, Adam Gent, got married. The Hummers and our family went together. As you can see from the pictures Merrick and Paxton are BUDS! Paxton is so good with Merrick and Merrick looks up to Paxton!! They are quite the pair those two!! This kid was a dancing fool and loved the atmosphere all together!!! He was SOOO good while we ate and while he had to wait for the couples and parents dance! Mommy got 1 slow dance with Merrick ONLY because he was so tired and had ASKED to go to bed! :) The wedding must have been hard work cause he slept in til a little after 9 this AM from dancing for 4 hrs straight. Sunday my dad and Deane came up to celebrate Father's day and Deane's birthday. This was right up Merrick's alley as there was candles, cake, and the "Happy Birthday" song!
