The Taylors

Hello from the monsoon! Merrick has learned the "Rain Rain go away" song this week. We are excited for the upcoming weather forecast for SUN!!! Monday Daddy got rained out and after supper there were clear skies. We headed out on the bikes and hit up the park. Merrick had a great time playing, swinging on the tire swing WITH mom AND dad!

Dad's a kid at heart but we couldn't help but bust a gut when his legs wouldn't bend as easy to get on the tire swing as to get off :) Merrick thought this picture was HILARIOUS! That's our Link always keeping things interesting and keeping us laughing! Daddy not only entertained but helped Merrick climb the trees too. He was all for this! :)

Despise the frequent rain storms and chilly weather for June we hit up the park a few times

And we hit up the Children's Museum again. Always a favorite with Merrick. This place is just up his alley with all the fun hands on things to do. He got to be a dentist...
But over half of our time there was spent in the airplane room...being "captains of the plane" as Merrick would tell me!
This picture cracks me up every time I look at it!! He wore those pilot goggles and coat majority of his time "flying" the plane!

Of course how can we go to the museum with out a carousel ride??

The highlight of our weekend was going to the CARS 2 movie!!! Merrick was so excited!!! Unfortunate the CARS 2 was a lil above his age level and he was not as interested in it as he is CARS. He still had fun but about 1 hr into the movie he yells at the top of his lungs "I'm ready to go home and go to bed!" So that was that :) We did get a picture of him by Lightening McQueen but only one shot was taken cause shortly after this picture all those rope things that the theaters have set up for people to form lines...well Merrick tackled them and knocked half of them down. We set them up and left! :)
MERRICK STORY....

Tonight during bath time I had put Merrick in the tub and was filling it...stepped 2 steps away from him to grab the washcloth and he pulls the knob to turn on the shower. He bails outta that tub so fast, water flying, soap down the side of the tub! I busted out laughing (the site was slightly funny) and shut the shower part off. He looks at me serious as could be, naked as could be with his hands on his hips and said "Mom I didn't know what the heck happened!" (Can't you see his big eyes??) I started to laugh but hear Link bust a gut in the living room. Really where does this kid come up with his lil comebacks!?!?! He's a riot!!
