Let it snow...let it snow...let it snow!!!

Like it or not it snowed about 4 inches here this week. Upon waking up Merrick was so excited to play in the snow but it was SO very cold so I just brought some snow inside for him to play with...he was content with that!

He has the eating of the snow figured out :) And we've had the discussion about not eating YELLOW snow! ;) We'll see if it works.

Later that day it warmed up. I guess thats how you know you're from Iowa when its 25 degrees out and you feel its warm enough to go out and play! HA! Merrick LOVED it!

My little helper. I was shoveling while he was playing and I turned around to see him helping me out! I have come to the conclusion that shoveling in Iowa's winter time is like trying to have a clean house with a 2 yr old!

Its never to cold to play w/ my summer toys though ;)

What better way to end playing in the snow then with hot chocolate and marshmellows! Merrick loved the marshmellows the most.
Grandma Tami came up for a visit and helped us out since both Lincoln and I had to work on Saturday. Merrick had a good time doing puzzles, games, and keeping Grandma busy.

Saturday night while I was getting ready to head out for our Christmas exchange with the Hummers and Einck's Merrick stole my eyeshadow....here are the results!


I guess he's pretty good at getting it on his eye lids ;)

Later that night we went to the Hummer's for a Christmas dinner and gift exchange for the kids...aren't they cute??

Hope you all have a restful week before Christmas. I am so excited for Christmas cause Merrick is catching on to it all...the advent calendar, Santa, giving and getting gifts, the decorations, lights, ect! Im so excited to see his face on Christmas morning when he sees what Santa brought him! Im warning you it may be a rather LONG blog next week :)
