So last time I blogged was Monday and the trails were our big adventure for the week! We spent most of our week outside for the 1st part and cleaning for the 2nd as later in the week it got COLD! Friday was Lincoln's mom's birthday so his family came up for homemade pizza and birthday cake. Merrick was THRILLED about decorating the cake but mostly about getting FROSTING! Or as he says "I wike fosting in my belly"
I put the 1st layer of frosting on and he couldn't wait to DIVE in!
Grandpa decided to help clean the container out so every inch of the container was clean...
Then came the sprinkles!
Here's the finished product and as you can see Merrick was trying to get ONE last bite of frosting!
Here's the Merrick signature of cake decorating :)
Merrick thinks now that every cake is HIS birthday cake and needed to help blow out the candles...
Merrick loves "My Jessie and Evi!"
A few months ago (sometime in May) Lincoln developed a "calus" on the bottom of his left foot. He bared w/ the pain but the pain became bad enough HE asked to go to the doctor. Dr. Dvorak said due to Lincoln's hammer toes that has devloped a calus from the inside out of his foot and would need an "in office surgery" to have this removed but would need to be off his feet for about 2-3 days! Well this weekend was the weekend. Lincoln didn't think that it would be "that painful". Well during the proceedure they found under the calus was a wart almost to the bone that would need to be cut out. He came home Friday before the party and did not feel "too bad" but still had the numbing medicine on board. The doc told him to just take Tylenol or Ibuprofen and did not prescribe any pain medications. WELL...when the numbing medication wore off the pain increased! Here's a pic of why it hurt so bad. For those of you who don't do well with medical stuff scroll down fast...
They burned a whole pretty much to the bone then cauterized it! I once had this done on the tip of my finger for a wart and can relate to the pain but Im pretty positive it has to hurt MUCH worse on the bottom of the foot!!! POOR LINCOLN! When we did attempt to go out Lincoln wanted to use the wheelchair over the motorized scooter cause those are for Grandma's he said. Merrick enjoyed the ride! ;) He seems to be doing some better today but gets pain periods where he turns white, sweats, and his eyes dialate and the Tylenol doesn't cut it! He's planning on going back to work tomorrow. Ill keep you updated on that! Keep him in your prayers for a quick recovery and a decrease in the pain level.
Alright Im off to bed. Have a great week and we'll chat next week!!!
