Fall...Our busy time of the year!!!

Im appologizing right now...this is gonna be a LONG one! :) BUT we celebrate birthday's in a BIG way here!!! You only have one day out of 365 that is yours so we LIVE IT UP! Merrick is OFFICALLY 2! For his birthday Merrick and myself met Dan and Tami at the Bloomsbury Pumpkin Farm! We had a blast!!! Since the pumpkin farm Merrick has been sleeping in in the mornings :)

Merrick loved the corn barn...filled his hat, shoes, and even Grandpa's pants with corn! :)

The duck races were another of Merrick's favorites that day...

As well as the jumping pillow...

And of course the tractor ride!

Papa told Merrick to pick out a pumpkin so the one he picks is one of the bigger ones...24lbs!
That night for Merrick's birthday he opened presents as soon as Lincoln got home. He got a camera, hawkeye gear, and a hawkeye lawn chair along with some new bedding for his big boy bed! and then we were off and celebrated at Happy Joes with Pizza and a few arcade games. Merrick's favorite part of the arcade games is putting the money in and pulling off the tickets. He could care less about playing the game! :) UNLESS its basketball!

Merrick got a birthday sundae and the ENTIRE resturant sang Happy Birthday to him...once again he SCREAMED "NO!" at the top of his lungs...but when Lincoln said "Ok, now blow out your candles" Merrick looks at him and says "Huh?!?" and blew it out! OH MY! The whole resturant was laughing at him...
Friday Merrick and I headed to Oskaloosa for Jessie (our soon to be Aunt and sister-in-law!--we are VERY excited for her to be part of our family!) So while Tami and I got ready for the shower Papa and Merrick spent the day together...went to Jessie and Levi's to see the animals and carved a pumpkin-the 24lb pumpkin from the pumpkin patch!
Merrick was NOT impressed at all w/ the pumpkin guts and wanted nothing to do with is so Papa carved the pumpkin by himself. Once it was completed Merrick liked the "fire and face"!
Papa and Levi were the babysitters while the shower took place. The boys (Papa, Corban, and Merrick) loved the play dough!
Here are the soon to be Bride and Groom! It was great to meet Jessie's family and put name with faces. We had a great time!!

Even as much fun as we had in Oskaloosa we (Merrick and myself) were VERY ready to get back home to be with Daddy...we just are not complete without him!!! So Saturday and Sunday we had family day. Since Merrick did NOT like to carve the pumpkins we decided to PAINT them! I honestly think this was much messier than carving but fun non the less.

I hope you are all enjoying fall as much as we are! As you can see we are keeping VERY busy...this next week is a little more laid back (thank goodness or this mommy would be exhausted if all our weeks were as busy as the last one!) but have a BIG weekend planned AGAIN! October is our busy month! For those of you who don't have facebook here is the link for more pics as Ive said before it is much easier to upload pictures to facebook than to the blog! http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2137220&id=71800729&l=7be70c0350
Enjoy and see you next week!
