Such a beautiful time of year....

Hello everyone! This week we have really enjoyed the weather...its been slightly warmer for mid October than usually but we'll take it! It's AWESOME park/outside weather!!! This week we had playdates and just enjoying the weather. The leaves have really started to fall off the front trees so we made a big pile of leaves and let Merrick, Paxton and Sawyer jump in them! They had a blast!!! Even daddy got in on the jumping! ;)

Merrick has now been in a big boy bed for about 2 months...lately he has developed some of Lincoln's sleeping habits...walking and talking in his sleep! Some nights I get little sleep as BOTH my boys are telling me stories in their sleep! Merrick is just like Lincoln in the respect I can talk to them while they are having their sleeping converstation and we can chat about whatever it is they are dreaming about. With Lincoln its usually work or the hole he's been digging ;) with Merrick the other night it was the owls!? A couple nights this past week when I get off work at 2 or so AM I find Merrick sleeping in random places...his floor, the hallway, his toy room, the foot of our bed on the floor! And Lincoln sleeps SO hard he has no clue Merrick has been walking around!

Wednesday was Merrick's 2 yr check up! He was 31lbs 14 oz putting him at the 85%tile for weight, 36 3/4 inches for height putting hiim at the 98% for height and 51 cm for head putting him at the 98%tile!

Dr. Sarah asked Merrick most of his questions for the exam not me and he answered her right on! Such as "What do you eat for breakfast?"...waffles! oatmeal! "How about lunch?" Yougurt! "Do you eat sandwhiches?" Cheese, No butter...butter YUCKY! "What kind of songs do you sing?" Baby Gaga! OH LA LA! Ok so story behind this is that there is a music group called Lady Gaga and their song Bad Romance the chorus goes, "Ooo, La, Ooo, Rarara" And Lincoln usually has this playing in his truck! So Merrick reported that this is the song he sings! :)

He is very advanced for his age. At age 2 they are suppose to say 2 word sentences. in which he is now speaking in 5-7 word sentences. Counts 1-12, says his ABC's through I, knows his name starts with M, knows what his Mommy and Daddy's names are (Wyssa Tayor, Incln Tayor per Merrick), and got his colors right! But she wasnt tell us anything we didnt know ;) In fact we joke he's smarter than us!! HAHA! (Sometimes its not a joke either!)

He was such a tropper at the appt. He had to get his finger poked for lead and iron levels, 2 shots and the flumist! He barely cried over all the poking but WAILED cause he wanted 3 sticker not 2! He got 3 stickers :)

I LOVE LOVE LOVE being able to watch Merrick. The way he figures things out, you can see the wheels spinning! Some of his newest things...Making his sand buckets into drums and using sticks as his drum sticks! He will sing outside forever while pounding on his "drums!"

Or how when he gets dressed in the morning I always tell him how handsome he looks he goes to the mirror in our room looks at himself and says "Mermick Hansum" then kisses the mirror!

Or how he has to wear a hat when he rides his Mickey train because Mickey wears a hat when he drives the train on TB (TV)!

This week our friends (Max and Xavier) gave Merrick a train table and Merrick LOVES! it! He has played with his trains and the table every hour that we are home. Its the first thing he wants to do when he wakes up in the morning or from nap and has to tell his trains and train table good night and blow them kisses!!! Like I said he LOVES! it. Thanks Max and Xavier!!!

Saturday we celebrated my mom's 50th with a spa party! It was so fun. My mom's sister and girls along with one of mom's good friends. We enjoyed lunch at Panera and then went to Sanctuary Spa for a realxing time with family and friends.

Upon returning from Mom's spa party Merrick and Lincoln had carved a pumpkin. We initally bought 3 and only carved the one cause as you all know they rot pretty quickly after their carved. So this week was pumpkin #2 and they made it a STEELERS pumpkin! Go Steelers!!! Merrick was VERY excited to show me!!

The last picture was too cute to not share...

Ok well I think Ive rambled enough! Ill let you go. Have a great week. Next weekend Lincoln's brother gets married and we are VERY EXCITED to have Jessie in the family! Check back next week...Toodles!
