We started the party off with the dancing and the kids went WILD! We converted the basement into a "dance floor" complete with Red Christmas lights, a strobe light and a lot of dance music!!
It turned out to be a very beautiful day so once the kids got hot and tired from dancing they were able to play and eat outside.

Merrick was very blessed with many wonderful gifts from family and friends. He loved to open the presents and was such a big boy by telling everyone individually "thank you" for the gifts they had given!
The card Papa Dan and Gdma Tami gave Merrick played the Mickey Mouse Club House song...this got his attention right away when he opened it! ;)Papa Rick made an airplane to hang in Merrick's room as his new big boy room will be Airplanes which was what Merrick picked out! Merrick's new big boy bed (thanks Papa Dan and Gdma Tami) will be arriving sometime this week and so Papa Rick and Gdma Deane's airplane and Gdma Luann's gift of the big boy bedding will make Merrick's big boy room FUN to sleep in :) (More pics on the big boy room complete at a later time.)
Next was cake and the Happy Birthday Song in which Merrick SCREAMED "NO!" then entire song as he wanted to sing and not have everyone sing to him! OH MY!!! The cake was a BIG worry of mine as Merrick can not have anything from a bakery due to the peanut allergy so I attempted to make the cake myself decorating and all! It turned out MUCH better than I had thought it would.
As you can see Merrick had a BLAST! The rest of the pictures are misc. (Thanks to Aunt Amber and Trisha we have about 350 pictures of the birthday party!!!-way to many to up load!:) ) Check out http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2137220&id=71800729&l=7be70c0350 for more pictures of the party still not ALL of them!
Thanks for checking in on us...be sure to check back next week as we have quite a BUSY week planned this week a forsure of MANY pictures to come!
