Throughout the week we pretty much just hung out, played outside and made a couple trips to the park. Merrick loves to ride his 4-wheeler and is getting pretty good at steering. Used to he would just go in a straight or curved line and run into whatever was in his way then sit on the 4-wheeler and scream until someone would get him set on a clear path again. Now he's steering around things and getting exactly where he wants to go. He even gets off of it now and backs it up himself if he gets stuck...Oh he's growing so fast!
Daddy coming home is one of the favorite parts of our day. We usually start to sit and wait by the window or outside by 5:30-5:45. Here is the picture of how excited Merrick gets when he see's "my daddy home now!"
Potty progress is still going...one of these weeks when he's done w/ the illness we will kick it into high gear and accomplish this task! But for now we continue w/ the diapers and potting every few hours. This week Merrick picked out a pumpkin that lights up for his prize.
After I took his picture with his pumpkin he wanted a picture of "just Merrmick!" Turned out pretty dang cute!
Friday we went to the doctor cause he still has that nasty cough, runny nose but no fever. She heard occasional wheezes which we already knew but he will clear the wheeze when he coughs. His lung did sound wet she said but thinks that all the mucous that croup brings with his allergies has made the cough impossible to go away on its own due to all the drainage!! We typically do Zyrtec a 24 hr allergy medication daily before bed so she added Singulair which is a prescription allergy medication ONTOP of the Zyrtec. He's been on it for 2 days now...nose looks better but the cough is still there. She told us if he's not better by Friday to come back :( UGH! I hope that this works!!! Poor kid! He acts like he feels fine, good appetite sleeping is normal he just sounds TERRIBLE!
On a lighter note Merrick's new favorite thing...RING POPS! Daddy and Merrick went with Andrew Hummer and his 2 kids went to watch North Mahaska and Iowa Valley (Andrew's high school team) play. (Sorry Mommy didnt go so there is no pictures!) But got a ring pop while watching the game! He loves his "sucker on my finger right there!" With his blue lips and teeth! :)
Saturday both Lincoln and I had to work so Dan and Tami (or Papa and Grandma Timmy-as Merrick calls them) came to hang out with Merrick. They had fun making play-dou glasses and batman masks!Today before nap I caught the boys and Jazzi laying on the floor pretending to sleep. Pretty cute!!!Hope you have a great week and check back next week for more pictures...this week MOPS starts and Lincoln's cousin gets married. Keep Merrick and his nasty cough in your prayers so we can enjoy our activities!
