#birthdayweek#

As promised...here we are the night before the big party, but just because the "actual" party is tomorrow does not mean we haven't been C-E-L-E-B-R-A-T-I-N-G! We have a pretty special, awesome, amazing lil guy in our lives that we are truly blessed to be his mommy and daddy there is no other way than to celebrate BIG! Merrick wanted "football" cupcakes for both his party and his school treats. It was so sweet to watch him so excited to share with his class.
At preschool he got to wear a birthday crown, have his picture taken by the birthday banner, and play with the birthday singing cake. You should have seen his face light up when he told me about his day. He was more than excited!

Then the big day finally came. Our plans were to hit up the pumpkin farm but with 35mph winds and some rain we decided to last minute head to the Children's museum for a day of play on his birthday.

He got a birthday shake for lunch.
And of course a carousel ride!
Of course next was presents...

Then for a special supper at the playstation. Daddy was able to join us for this part. Merrick had a great time!
Then home for making birthday wishes and cake...
Typically on his birthday we have always gone to the pumpkin farm but like I'd mentioned earlier because of the weather we decided to go to the museum but Merrick asked when I was tucking him in (and became upset) as to why we forgot to go to the pumpkin farm. Mommy got up extra early today and started on party preperations to be able to attend the MOPS playdate at the pumpkin farm today. He was in all his glory during our short time there. In 2 hrs he packed in...

Feeding the donkeys,

Duck races The hay rack ride, many trips down the slide, jumping in the corn and hay, the tire maze, pedal go cart races, and of course the jumping pillow!

And of course our picking of the pumpkins :)
As you can see our lil one has so far had a busy yet perfect 3 yr old birthday. More pics this weekend after our big HAWKEYE party tomorrow! I wanted to leave you with some pictures Ive taken each year at the pumpkin farm. This birthday has been the hardest for me by far...is so bittersweet ...he is now so "grown up", preschool BOY (not baby, or even lil boy!) He is growing up fast....just take a look! Where has time gone?!?!?!
