Thursday Merrick and I headed to the "Waterwoo Mall" as he calls it to pick my ring up. While we were there we discovered an arcade attached to the mall. When we walked in Merrick exclaims at the top of his lungs..."Mommy just like Chuckee Cheese with no Chuckee Cheese!" He had a great time playing a few games (we were the only 2 in there on a Thursday at 11 am!) but mostly just enjoyed pretending to drive/ride the rides.
On our way home we stopped at McDonalds for lunch and let Merrick run around the play area. He had a blast!!! And was so tired that he fell alseep on the way home, stayed alseep while I brought him inside and slept for another 2.5 hrs! Burned off some winter energy!
So when I went grocery shopping this past week @Target and they are getting a new line of bakery items in that are PEANUT FREE! YEAH!!! So I picked up a donut for my lil donut lover!!! They have had the PEANUT FREE donut holes w/ the powdered sugar for a while but he was not much of a fan of those. But LOVES the sprinkles and frosted cake donuts!!! He's asked me now numerous times to go back and get more NO PEANUT DONUTS!
As you can tell from the face..he ENJOYED it! Its the little things we get excited about with this food allergy :)Merrick lately has wanted to drink out of his big boy cups WITH a straw! Both Lincoln and I have a water jug w/ straws we carry around our water in and Merrick swiped Lincoln's straw at supper the other night. So they made a game of it...both of them were blowing on the ends of the straw...
And as you can see Merrick thought this was HILARIOUS! Giggles were coming from his toes...
Saturday came and we were tired of being cooped up and need some family time! BOWLING IT IS!! This was Merrick's 1st time actually bowling. He had a blast!!! He could hardly wait his turn :) They had a ramp for him to use and the bumpers...

There was another small arcade area attached to the bowling alley and Merrick wanted to bad to shoot hoops with daddy. Daddy caved! This kids gonna be an arcade junkie!!
***Some little things about Merrick***
1. Lately he has asked me about "families" from a book we read. When I explained to him about families he now runs up and hugs our legs and says "Mommy (or Daddy) I love being your family!" How sweet is this...melts my heart everytime!!!
2. Potty training is coming along well. I could count on 1 hand how many accidents we've had this week AND he's been good about saying "MOMMY I GOT TA GO!" as he sprints for the bathroom. HOWEVER today while grocery shopping I get a call from Lincoln..."guess where your son just pooped??" Me: "In his pants" Lincoln "Nope, on the floor in the hallway!" AWESOME. Merrick likes to have his privacy while doing #2 and so Lincoln got him settled and went to have a seat in the living room waiting for the "IM DONE" call! But got suprised with Merrick running out to him in the living exclaiming "Daddy I show you where I pooped!" Lincoln said with that comment he knew he was in for it! ;) Mommy took her time checking out..HAHA!
3. Merrick was an amazing sleeper as a baby, but ever since he's had free roam in the big boy bed he's up often (anywhere from 2 times to 6 times a night--some nights it is worse than a newborn) wanting me to "cober him up" if his blankets are not perfectly covering his little body. He will not let Lincoln take any part of this as he SCREAMS "NO MOMMY DO IT" if Lincoln walks in there! So last night from 1200am to 6 he was up every 15 mins to 30 mins asking for me to cover him up! This mommy had had it at about 4 am! I told him to get in his bed and stay there til the sun came up or he was in DEEP trouble! So what does he do the next time he gets outta bed.....Closes our door to our room and goes and plays in his toy room...OH MY! He's 2!!! And is already trying to sneaking around!!! :) Im gonna have my hands full!!!
Alrighty thats enough story telling for tonight...I could possibly go on for hours cause as Ive said before with Lincoln and Merrick this house is FAR FROM boring!!! Have a good week, stay warm and check back next week cause we have a fire station tour planned with our MOPS group! Merrick is VERY excited!

PS Ever since we ate a Red Robin over 1 wk ago and Lincoln sang the commercial one time we here this often at our house :)
