Another weekend gone...just like that! It's always so hard for me to believe that another Monday is on the way! This past week we have enjoyed the fall weather for the first part of the week! Mid 70's was wonderful. I loved slipping my jeans back on. Fall is my favorite time of the year...the weather, color changes to the leaves, football, sweatshirts, pumpkins. I could go on and on!!! So since it was so FALL like this week we took many walks, wagon rides, and park trips. We had a few playdates too. There are many parks in Cedar Rapids (around 20 some I think) and so we go to a new park each time! Its fun to see Merrick's eyes light up at the different playground equiptment.
Saturday nights we had some visitors...Levi and Jessie (Lincoln's brother and fiance) came up to visit! It was SO good to see them and catch up. Merrick LOVES these two and was in heaven when they were here to stay for a little while!
Today the nice cool weather has been slightly HOT! We did some indoor activities and then waited until later in the evening to play outside! Did I mention we are so ready for fall?? While doing some "house cleaning" Lincoln decided to clean his guns...Merrick enjoyed watching every move Lincoln made! He looks like quite the rebel in this picture...Tattoos from the fair and a gun...he is his father's child :)
Merrick has been getting very good at singing songs. His favorites are Itsy Bitsy Spider, Its Bubbling, If You're Happy And You Know It, Ring Around the Rosie, Where is Merrick, but his all time favorite is Happy Birthday. I got a quick video of him doing it with the him pretending to blow out is candles! He's gonna be a pro at this birthday thing when its his turn!
