October starts off with a bang...

October has been busy already and its only the 9th...so far we have celebrated Mom's birthday...

 

 Played in the leaves...

 And got to celebrate Grant and Alexa's big day...

 Merrick was the ring bearer and Lincoln a groomsmen. It was a chilly day but we had a great time celebrating and catching up with some college friends!

 And we had one more birthday party for Merrick with a few of Merrick's cousins, grandparents, Aunts and Uncles and Great Grandma Taylor.

 Merrick picked another 4 wheeler cake...can you tell where this lil guys heart is?

 

We have had a great cotober so far and are all tired from the weekend.

 

 

JUST SOME UPDATES...

1. Peanut allergy--we have introduced to Merrick things that have been processed and manufactured wtih peanuts and tree nuts and so far no issues. He has recenlty for the first time experienced Jaarsma's bakery, M&Ms, Twix, the same snacks as everyone else at preschool, and for his birthday was able to have bakery cake. We found out he was able to start trying things the middle of September and he has enjoyed it very much. He is not able to have things with direct nuts or peanut butter in it but we will settle for this...it has been such a relief and joy to see his face when trying candy corn, M&Ms all for the very first time. And the smile on his face when telling me that he got to eat the same snack as everyone else at preschool was amazing!

 

2. 1st concussion--Merrick had a lil spill at his birthday party and hit his head. Later that day he vomited, and had some troubles waking up with unequal pupils. Yep 1st concussion. Although it was scary to witness Im suprised it has taken us 4 yrs to have something like this happen. He's doing better now, only complains occasionally of a headache and is sassy as every...MERRICK IS BACK! :)

 

 

3. Maddox is starting to get on a schedule as of yesterday so I hope Im not jinxing myself! I go back to work Thursday and will need him to do more than catnap so I can sneak in atleast a 30 min nap on those days. He is a happy lil clam and smiles all the time. Last night we were tickling him, he would make a grunt sound and then SMILE huge! It was entertaining. Maddox loves his big brother and would spend all day watching him play! We are so blessed by these 2 boys.
