Still waiting on Spring...

Hello all!! Did you all stay warm during the lowest of lows for winter?? Iowa's high on Friday was 4 at 3pm! When we woke up it was -15!!! YIKES! I guess the positive of such horrible temps is we got Daddy home for 4 days with us!!! But since we got spoiled it makes Mondays just a little harder than they already are!!! Our week was full of celebrations for my birthday. I feel so blessed. Monday Dan & Tami came up and brough supper! It was delicious and much appreciated! Of course Merrick was thrilled w/ the cake!

So thrilled with the cake when he got too close trying to "lick" the frosting Daddy dunked his face in it! HAHA!

Wednesday was my birthday and my good friends Lynston and Kristin had scheduled an hour massage, pedicure, and manicure at the spa for me! It was heaven to say the least!!! I had no clue until 30 mins before I was suppose to be there!! PURE BLISS!! Later that night Lincoln and Merrick treated me to Olive Garden for a birthday supper! YUMMY!!! I am truly blessed!!

Yesterday we drove to Grinnell and met w/ my dad and some of his family for pizza. It was good to catch up and great pizza. Merrick enjoyed playing w/ his cousin Kreed!!

Since it was so cold this week we did a lot of games indoors. One of Merrick's favorite was the Limbo!
Merrick however did not want to go underneath but instead decided it was more fun to knock the pole DOWN!!

The other morning I told Merrick to go to his room and I'd meet him there so we could get dressed for the day. When I walked in this is how I found him...comfy I guess! :)

Saturday it felt like a heatwave compared to Friday. It was 15 degrees out!!! So we headed to the playland in the mall for Merrick to burn some energy...(yes we do this alot or he gets some bad cabin fever!) :) Well I guess it worked cause on the way home he was eating his cheeseburger and fries and CRASHED mid eating!

So needless to say my Steeler fans are more than excited about last nights outcome and are pumped for the Superbowl!!!

Potty training is going well and I think I can honestly say he is potty trained. He endured an 1hr car ride, big boy undies at church, and at the mall, resturant....he's doing well and only 1 accident all week!!! SUCH A BIG BOY!!!
